Hello Red Room Artists! Remember when you learned about night time with TJ? Vincent van Gogh is an artist that I like to explore because he liked painting at night. Below are some videos about the artist Vincent van Gogh. The first two videos are about Vincent van Gogh and his Starry Night painting. The third video shows you how to do a project inspired by Starry Night. Don't worry if you don't have all of the same materials for this art project, you can make a similar project using whatever materials you have. This project is a great way to practice drawing or painting with active lines.
When your drawing is finished, add it to your online gallery in the (Red) Van Gogh Inspired Starry Night project folder so that I can see what artwork you created! Have fun.

Below is a video showing you how to create a van Gogh inspired Starry Night. This project uses oil pastels and watercolor, but you can also create your own using other materials. You can practice drawing wiggly lines with markers, pastel, paint and watercolor. Crayons resist watercolor also if you wanted to try that! Try doing your own Starry Night OR use a different theme to try out van Gogh's style of "moving lines".
