Hello BNS Families,
This is the time of year that I am typically going through art portfolios with each of the students so we can reflect on their art year, make notes of where to put energy the following year, and choose several favorite artworks for the end of the year art exhibit. They also fill out a reflection (similar to About the Author for Author's Tea).
This won't be possible this year, but I would still like to celebrate the students success in art. My plan is to put together a virtual art show. This is where I could use your help. I would like to have TWO art pieces from each student to be showcased in a slideshow/video format. I would like for the students to choose two of their art pieces from their Artsonia online gallery. Let me know which Artsonia project folder the artworks are in (ex: (Red) Buzzing Bees) with a description or title if there are multiple in one folder, and I can just grab it from there. If you haven't already, please have your child take a few minutes to go through their art portfolios that went home (the large white folder) and make sure there isn't any art that wasn't already in their online gallery that they would like to add. Also, if they have art that they have been working on during remote learning that hasn't been added, don't worry, there is still time to add it!
Please communicate with your child about the virtual art show. I will also post information to grades 3-8, so they can help plan as well.
Please email your child's/children's art selections (by indicating the Artsonia project folder with title or description if needed) by Friday, May 22, so that the art show can be shared the following week.
If I don't hear from you, no worries! I will just assume that you are fine with me making selections for your child.
Thank you for your assistance with this. I look forward to seeing the students' selections.
Patti
